Interactive Designer/Developer - Contract/Freelance

Fuze is looking for a versatile interactive designer/developer to join our team.

Designers everyday functions include: produce and optimize graphics for the web, develop layout templates, interactive interface design, performing day-to-day updates on client sites, and adding new imagery and layout that reinforces an existing look and feel. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio and experience with the tools of the trade, an excellent knowledge of HTML website construction (no WYSIWYG), familiarity with animation tools like Flash and Director is also an added plus. An understanding of typography, color, and information design is essential, as is client interaction and interpersonal skills.

Developers are expected to possess: Advanced knowledge of multiple web scripting languages (ColdFusion, ASP, PHP, JSP, CGI); a working knowledge of database driven applications and web sites (MSSQL/MySQL); a solid understanding of at least one programming language (C, C++, Perl, etc); and expert knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS. Must understand the concepts behind modern website construction and organization.

PLEASE NOTE! Top candidates will have experience developing completely CSS based websites. Experience setting up commerce related websites, databases, transaction systems, SSL, securing web servers, shopping cart tools (off the shelf and/or custom), setting up payment gateways, Merchant accounts, etc. are also desirable skills. Portfolio and resumes should demonstrate this experience.

All candidates must have a minimum of two years experience programming for the web, a good business sense, a visible portfolio of work, desire, and self-motivation.  Estimated start date:  TBD
